A cake smash session is a themed photoshoot celebrating your baby’s first birthday. Your little one gets to explore, play with, and (hopefully!) devour a beautiful birthday cake while I capture all the sweet, silly, and messy moments on camera.
It’s equal parts milestone celebration and sensory experience—and it makes for the cutest keepsakes and birthday party invitations.

We’ll work together to choose a color palette or theme that reflects your baby’s personality. Whether it’s soft and simple or bold and playful, I’ll design the set and handle all the décor.
👨👩👦 Family and Traditional Photos
Family and sibling portraits are included in your smash set, as well as a few neutral and classic sets to showcase those simple baby portraits that look amazing in any room of your home!
🍰 The Cake
I work with a trusted local baker who can provides beautiful, baby-friendly cakes to match your theme. She can do egg or dairy free if allergies are an issue, or you can also bring your own cake if you wish. If you aren’t a cake fan.. consider a fruit or food smash! (Think spaghetti, steak, whatever your little one’s favorite food is!)

You’ll have access to my client closet with adorable cake smash outfits that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your sweet baby.
🧼 Easy Clean-Up
Worried about the mess? Don’t be. Towels, wipes, and a clean-up station are always ready. Most babies also enjoy a quick post-smash bubble bath (which makes for even more adorable photos).
When Should You Schedule a Cake Smash?
Most parents schedule a cake smash session for when baby is 11 -12 months old, so the images are ready in time for birthday parties or announcements. My calendar books quickly, so I recommend reaching out a few months in advance to secure your date.
